Weeks 6 & 7

These past 2 weeks Ryans Mom (Lisa) came down from Oregon to help out and visit her 1st grandchild.  The 2nd week Ryan's Dad (Paul) and sister (Caitlyn) flew down to join us also. Bryce has been really active and had more 1st's. He had his first bottles of expressed milk this week. Everyone took turns feeding Bryce his one bottle of the day. He did great, almost too good. He took it on the first try without any 'nipple confusion'. This allowed Ryan and I to go out on our 1st date since Bryce's birth and the longest (really only) time I'd been away from him. We went to Gringo's for dinner and then to Eclipse. Of course I missed Bryce and thought about him the whole time. I can't imagine going back to work at the 6 week mark and sending him off to daycare, thankfully I don't have to and can do some work from home for awhile as I finish typing up my disseration (I just need Bryce to take long naps so I can be productive).  Bryce has also been smiling a lot, but still trying to get it caught on camera (got a few close ones).  I'll keep trying.  He has also been rolling over from tummy to back, and getting stronger so that he stands and holds his head up for good periods of time.

We took a trip to Galveston, hung out at Murdochs to cool off and had burgers at the Spot

We all went to Kemah to listen to music and have dinner.  We got to watch some crazy dancing!

Weeks 4 and 5

Helping Daddy pack for his two weeks away

Bryce loves to be wrapped in his 'snugglie'.

Our A/C unit went out last week so Bryce and I had to manage to stay cool for 24 hrs.  We did okay and thankfully we didn't have to pay too much for repairs

Trying to catch quality photos of Bryce for his 1 month birthday and to use for birth announcements...more outfits and nudity to come

Grandma Nellie showed up last Friday to meet the little guy and help me out.  Its much easier to get in a shower and eat with a bit of help!

3 Weeks... so soon?!

Finally took a family photo

Mom knitting away...Hope its cold this winter, wherever we are, as he now has 3 homemade sweaters with matching hats courtesy of Grandma Hase

I love our post-feeding snuggle time!

Photos below are of the handmade cradle that my Dad made.  I think it was a bit more than he bargained for, as the pattern he used to make it had a few flaws and this was the first quality indoor furniture piece he had made.

Bryce's first night in his new Hase family cradle

Trying to calm Bryce in the Ergo during his 1st very fussy day.  It worked quite well.  Think I need to stay away from Chinese food for a while!

2nd bath, but the 1st one he didn't scream bloody murder through

Happy 4th of July!  In his red, white and blue outfit from Aunt Mary and his knit bear from Grandma Hase.
