I nearly forgot...here are the changes I made to our house during the weeks following Ike. I painted the master bedroom and bath. I put in before and after photos. I also painted the table legs, restained the tabletop, painted the chairs and put new fabric on the seats.
Hopefully the backyard is our next project.

* Patrick asked Bonnie at Cannon Beach last weekend...In the rain on a hike. They came by after calling to say they had some spectacular pictures to show us of elk they saw on the beach!
This was true...but the BIG spectacular thing was the short video where Bonnie turned to the camera and pronounced
"We're Engaged" and flashed an adorable vintage diamond ring.
They are planning a March wedding.
There goes another big day in March for the Jordans :) Yippee!

No surprise there, but one surprise is that --Becky knew and had seen a picture of the ring itself AT THE CABIN this summer. Secret keeper!! Did you KNOW too?
I cannot keep a secret like that!
