Weeks 4 and 5

Helping Daddy pack for his two weeks away

Bryce loves to be wrapped in his 'snugglie'.

Our A/C unit went out last week so Bryce and I had to manage to stay cool for 24 hrs.  We did okay and thankfully we didn't have to pay too much for repairs

Trying to catch quality photos of Bryce for his 1 month birthday and to use for birth announcements...more outfits and nudity to come

Grandma Nellie showed up last Friday to meet the little guy and help me out.  Its much easier to get in a shower and eat with a bit of help!

3 Weeks... so soon?!

Finally took a family photo

Proud Grandparents

Mom knitting away...Hope its cold this winter, wherever we are, as he now has 3 homemade sweaters with matching hats courtesy of Grandma Hase

I love our post-feeding snuggle time!

Photos below are of the handmade cradle that my Dad made.  I think it was a bit more than he bargained for, as the pattern he used to make it had a few flaws and this was the first quality indoor furniture piece he had made.

Bryce's first night in his new Hase family cradle

Trying to calm Bryce in the Ergo during his 1st very fussy day.  It worked quite well.  Think I need to stay away from Chinese food for a while!

2nd bath, but the 1st one he didn't scream bloody murder through

Happy 4th of July!  In his red, white and blue outfit from Aunt Mary and his knit bear from Grandma Hase.

Kitties lounging outside in the heat trying to hide from the screaming baby!

Week of 1st's

This was a week of firsts.  We went for our 1st walk around the neighborhood, first trip to Galveston, first dinner out at Logan's Roadhouse, first time to Hobby Lobby, HEB and Kohls, and our first feeding outside the hospital or home (as our oil change went a bit too long).  Bryce has been awake more and more, which has been fun.  His feedings are still fairly consistant at every 3 hrs, but has had a few nights now with 4-5 hour intervals, which I am happy for.  He has begun to spit up a bit more often so we now have to be more diligent about putting down blankets/birp cloths. Overall he has been a great baby.  Ryan was gone for a few days to a tournament.  It was so sweet, he texted and said he missed Bryce and asked for new photos.  I could tell he was sad to be gone. My Dad is still working on Bryce's cradle. Its coming along and should be done in the next few days.  My Mom is midway through knitting another sweater for him...hopefully we had a chilly winter so he can get good use out of them while they still fit.

Day 5

Late nights with MOM

Ryan got peed on!

Our 1st Bath

Our 2nd trip out (first was to the doctor on day 4) to shop at Target!  He slept soundly the whole time.  Wonder if he will keep this up?!
